WHAT YOU CAN FIND ON OUR SITE
This site is primarily dedicated to assisting our customers find the sheet music titles they
need. The first items on the side menu are dedicated to this purpose. Also on the side
menu are links to information about our school instrument and karaoke machine rentals. The
menu can also link you to information about some of the other merchandise we carry in our
full-line store in Downtown Seattle. Seasonally, we may have links to inform you of special
sales, projects, and activities in-store and around town.
At the bottom of each page you'll find links to information about us: our hours, our
location and how to contact us.
FINDING YOUR MUSIC
For titles that are newer and/or better-selling, select one of our special category pages
via the side bar. Almost all titles on these pages will be in stock or coming. Some may be
newer than the material covered by our larger "Search" function.
If you don't find your wanted item in the category listings, try the "Search" function (the last
menu item under "Sheet Music" on the side menu. You may search by title, artist, or composer.
If one doesn't produce the desired results, try another. And don't forget to try variations of
wording or spelling. Sometimes the publisher doesn't think the way we do. Some composers' names,
particularly, are spelled several ways. And some music may be in its original lanquage or in
English, or even a third language. "The" as a first word is usually dropped in searching for a
title. Its equivalent in other languages may or may not be omitted.
If you still don't find what you need, contact us via email or phone (or regular mail). Our
staff has a great deal of experience and additional research tools to help you find what you
need -- or even to confirm that it is likely not in print and/or available in the USA at this
time. We can also research whether a given song is available in books if not printed as a
single sheet.
AVAILABILITY OF YOUR SELECTED ITEMS
Items on our category pages are generally in stock in our store or on order. They can almost
always be shipped the same or the next business day. International shipments may take another
day or two because they must be taken to the post office rather than the drop-box per USPS
regulations. Large packages may also be delayed because they will not fit the drop-box.
Items found via the search function are from our database that covers almost everything
published by five of the largest US publishers. They may or may not be titles which we carry
in our store. But since they are published, we can secure them for you and have them on
their way to you, usually in 3 to 12 business days, depending on the publisher and the
timing of your order. Your selection should show the number of days to shipping. This is
the maximum number of days it will take us to get your order out except for unusual
circumstances.
"Unusual circumstances" include items being permanently or temporarily out of print (see OUT
OF PRINT ITEMS below, errors by the publishers in filling and/or shipping our order, and
publisher's closings for holidays, inventory or some event specific to them. You can almost
always plan on needing extra time from the week before Christmas through the first week of
the New Year. Almost all publishers are closed for a major portion of that time and take a
few days to "catch up" once they re-open.
If the maximum time indicated is too long, you may wish to call or email us to see whether
your music in stock or we could rush it for you. We have various options available to
rush most merchandise. Some can be implemented with no additional charges to you, but many
air deliveries cost an extra $7-$25 depending on the service, the locations of the publisher
and customer and the weight of the merchandise.
OUT OF PRINT ITEMS
If a title is found to be permanently out of print, we will try to refund your payment to
your card account by or before the end of the business day (Mon.-Fri. except holidays) following
our confirmation of the fact.
If a title is temporarily out of print and the publisher will back-order it, we will give
you the option of cancelling the order (or that part of the order), or leaving it active.
If it is left active we will send the merchandise as soon as we receive it from the publisher.
Such delays can be anywhere from 1 or 2 days to 3 or 4 months. If the publisher's
representative knows an approximate delivery time, we'll let you know as well.
Titles go out of print every day for various reasons. Lack of sufficient sales history to
recommend the cost of re-printing is one. But licensing agreements and artist contracts
expire from time and are not always renewed. If another publisher has outbid the first for such
a license or contract they may also re-issue that specific title. If we find this to be a
possibility we will take time to check on that before contacting you with an out-of-print
notice.
